With the new internationally recognised YA/RYA joint Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate
You could be working as Master of a super yacht up to 200 tonnes, anywhere in the world*
If you've logged
To be a Coastal Skipper - 30 days on board - 2 days as skipper - 800 miles - 12 night hours
To be a Yachtmaster Offshore - 50 days on board - 5 days as skipper - 2500 miles - 5 passages over 60 miles (2 overnight and 2 as skipper)
Then you are eligible to sit the internationally recognised YA/RYA practical exam
Before you sit the practical exam, you'll need to hold the combined Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore theory certificate.
In Sydney this is run as:
5 separate evening class modules: Meteorology - Chart-work - Tides - Pilotage/Passage planning - Electronic Navigation/Safety/VHF
each module runs from 18.30 to 21.00 over three evenings and costs $190.
Throughout Australia:
An intensive 1 week theory course at your yacht club ($950 per person, minimum 6 people). No travel costs, anywhere in Australia.
